Foundation for Polish Science Prize, sometimes called the "Polish Nobel Prize", was presented in Warsaw to three scientists. The winners are Stanisław Penczek, Kazimierz Rzążewski and Jerzy Jedlicki. The prize amount is 200 thousand zlotys.
On November 27, 57 scholarship holders from 13 countries have officially started their university courses in Poland. The inauguration ceremony was held in Warsaw in the presence of MFA Undersecretary of State - Konrad Pawlik who addressed a welcoming speech to Programme participants and recalled the heritage of Ignacy Łukasiewicz.
Jarosław Gowin on Monday took over as head of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, replacing Lena Kolarska-Bobińska. "I will try to continue all valuable initiatives" - announced the new minister.
On Monday, by President Andrzej Duda appointed Jarosław Gowin as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education in Beata Szydło’s government.
In Poland, there are 340 academic career offices at 428 universities. More than half of them have no more than one full-time employee, and still they more and actively help graduates - according to the Graduate Ombudsman report.
