Poland at Study in Europe 2014 education fair in Singapore

Poland’s booth was among the highlights of the eight edition of the higher education fair "Study in Europe" which was held on Saturday, 27th September at Suntec Convention Centre Singapore. Organised by the EU Delegation to Singapore, “Study in Europe” fair aims to provide students, parents and teachers with comprehensive information on Europe's higher education landscape. This year's edition saw nearly 1,500 visitors meeting university representatives and education experts from Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

At the Polish stand, hosted by the Embassy of Poland in Singapore with the support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Polish universities, prospective students and their parents could discover a wide range of English language programmes by top Polish schools and learn more about life and studies in our country. Wrocław University of Technology was particularly well represented by Ms Anna Żarska who gave as well a seminar on educational opportunities offered by her university. The Jagiellonian University, Warsaw School of Economics, Medical University of Gdańsk, Poznań University of Technology, Wrocław School of Economics, Cracow University of Technology were among other schools whose materials were presented at the fair. Visitors to the Polish booth could also see and use www.go.poland.pl website with the “Studyfinder” searchable database developed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education within ”Ready, Study, Go! Poland” campaign. “Studyfinder” contains hundreds of programmes offered in Poland in foreign languages at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels, including MBA.

The day before, Embassy of Poland and Wrocław University of Technology promoted Polish higher education at European University Fair hosted by the prestigious international school United World College South East Asia on Friday, 26 September. Apart from meeting UWC students and their parents, the event included also a special session with university counselors from the best local and international schools.
