Polish Educational mission to Brazil took place on 14-23 March and was organized within the framework of the Ministry of Science campaign "Ready, Study, Go! Poland" that supports internationalization of Polish universities since 2012. The main purpose of the March mission to Brazil was to promote the Polish academic offer among Brazilian students and encourage them to apply to study in Poland under the scholarship program +Ciência sem Fronteiras+ (Science without borders).
Meetings with students and authorities of the leading Brazilian universities are in the agenda of the Polish educational mission to Brazil. It will take place on 14-22 March. Members include the representatives of eight Polish universities, Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Foundation for the Development of the Education System.
Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Brazil invited Polish Embassy to the National Week of Science and Technology. The representatives of Polish Embassy presented materials on science and higher education in Poland, as well as offers of various universities located in Poland.
More than 8,000 education, immigration, and foreign policy experts from over 100 countries came together to share insights, data and new trends that will impact higher education around the world at NAFSA's 66th Annual Conference and Expo. With nearly 10,000 members, NAFSA: Association of International Educators is the world's largest nonprofit association dedicated to international education.
On March 23, members of the Polish educational mission met with the Polish community in Rio de Janeiro. The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Dorota Bogutyn, First Secretary and Consul at the Polish Embassy in Brazil. On 3 February 2014 representatives of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) met with Dr. Liane Hentschke, Director for International Cooperation of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) – the executive agency of the Brazilian government program “Science without Borders”. The Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil participated in the meeting.
